Mar 18, 2019 · As I mentioned earlier, the latest version of the AK-74 muzzle brake was borrowed by the 100-series of AK rifles. The AK-101 (5.56x45mm) and AK-74M (5.45x39mm) have the exact same brake as the AK-74. However, the AK-103, which is chambered in 7.62x39mm, has a larger bullet hole in the brake for the larger caliber.
